PLEASE LOOK AT THE NEWS AND NOTICE PAGE FOR UPDATES AND RECENT CATCH REPORTS This site gives details of the waters and activities of Newton Abbot Fishing Association, a coarse angling club based in South Devon, UK.
The Association has the fishing rights to over twenty waters in the Newton Abbot area as well as stretches of water on the River Isle and the Somerset Levels. We currently have in excess of 800 full members, numerous associate members and issue around 1200 day tickets annually. The waters of the Association offer some of the best coarse fishing in Devon, consistently producing specimen fish in idillic environments. The Association has been in existence since the early 1920's, with most of the waters being created as the excavation of the local clay and gravel deposits came to an end; primarily these workings were at the Rackerhayes complex just outside Newton Abbot. Over the years the club has gradually grown and acquired more waters in the surrounding area. In the last ten years the membership numbers have consistently increased, there are more match teams associated with the club and the quality of the fish stock has dramatically improved; the waters are renowned for some truly specimen fish with tench to nearly 12lb, bream to 9lb, perch to 5lb and numerous carp that are 30lbs plus. The items for sale section of the site is now up and working, so email a description and image of the gear you want to sell!
